About Me

Hi! I'm Atiyyah, a 22-year-old journalist from West London
From about the age of 14, I knew I wanted to have a career in journalism, and so I started my blog writing all things beauty, girlhood and feminism! At 15, I participated in the Young Reporter Scheme. My interest in journalism reignited at 18 when I decided to study Journalism at University of the Arts London.
During my undergraduate academic journey, my biggest achievement was interviewing Metro's former Fashion and Beauty Editor Bel Jacobs who is now a climate change and fashion sustainability activist.
Currently, I am a freelance beauty and fashion journalist and a MA Media Communications student at UAL. I am a regular contributor to online blog Sicka Vision, where I write about Black British culture and pop culture.
I'm interested in the intersection of pop culture, internet culture, identity, music, literature, sustainability & reality tv.
